The babolat pure drive is Babolat‘s most popular racquet. The Babolat new york are solid playing, controllable, manoeuvrable racquets intended for the 3.5 to 5.0 level player. The Babolat Newyork is just a little stiffer and more powerful than a true players frame; although pro‘s like Roddick, Moya, and Clijsters use the Pure Drive.

The MP is 27" long, weighs 11.1 oz strung and has a 100 sq in head. The MP (used by Roddick) is 27.5" and is weighted the same, the extra length gives a bit more reach and power. The racquets weighs 0.8 oz less, has a 110 head, and is 27.5 inches long to give it even more power; Racquets has a more open string pattern for fantastic spin control. The Babolat Pure Control is intended for the 4.5+ player with a fast swing who likes a heavier feeling Racquet than the Pure Drive. The Pure Control is the 27" long, 97 sq in head, and weighs 11.8 oz strung to give a solid traditional feel for the player who generates his own power. There is also an extended 27.5" long frame available.

They are very light and have a nice amount of power. They are a Head heavy racquet as compared to the head light pure drive. If you want a great, manoeuvrable racquet with a lot of controllable power and that Babolat players feel, this is the racquet for you. The Z-Lite (MP) is 27" long, with a 100 sq in head and weighs 9.8 oz. The Z-Max is the Oversize head version and is 27.5" long with a 108 sq in head and weighs 9.7 oz strung. The Pure Control team is heavier and thinner than the pure drive. The new Drive Z range is a lighter alternative to the best selling pure drive range. The Storm range offers basically the same box shape design of the traditional ‘control‘ range.
